VANA'S TEAM . . .
Jason Taylor was born in Memphis, Tennessee where he grew up riding and training barrel horses. At the age of 8, he began competing in local speed shows and amateur barrel races. Throughout the years, Jason has ridden many different horses in which the majority of them he trained himself; each one having a different style than the other. By the age of 22, Jason was an equine performer for Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede in Branson Missouri. In 2003, he was invited to train for the Josey Ranch in Karnack, Texas. During the time he worked for them, Jason trained top quality barrel horses and instructed clinics.
When Jason made his first trip to Colorado in 2009, he knew it was the place he needed to be. Although he had much success in Tennessee, Jason made the decision to pursue his Colorado dream by relocating to the Denver area in 2011. In the short time he has been in Colorado, he has met some amazing people.
Jason duties include coordinating clinics, working closely with sponsors and assisting at clinics. Jason is looking forward to making new friends and helping others accomplish their goals as well.

"I love going to my job at Cross Creek Rodeo Ranch. I never call it "work" because
I enjoy what I do, teaching others about riding a horse, proper riding skills
and horsemanship. I love learning about horses and the techniques needed to
train them at CCRR because I have horses of my own and it benefits me.
I greatly enjoy teaching students because of their eagerness to learn about riding horses, and their enthusiasm throughout the lesson."
Liza Sullivan has been a part of CCRR for 13 years and is a all around cowgirl. At a Cross Creek Rodeo you can easily spot her as she carries Old Glory with pride. Liza also helps handling the bulls, bucking horses and jumps in wherever she is needed at the rodeos. Back at the Ranch, Liza helps ride & train outside horses in for training, enjoys coordinating and playing games with children attending our Summer Day Camps and works in the hay fields. She is also a accomplished barrel racer and accompanies Vana at clinics.
