Vana was practically born on a horse, as she is the daughter of parents prominent in the horse racing field. Her mother was a successful horse breeder and her father was a world renowned trainer and driver of harness horses. He won the Hambletonian three times and at the age of 89 he is still active as a consultant to major farms. Growing up on the racetrack bred a keen sense of adventure and competitiveness in Vana. She has always striven for the unique synergy of horse and rider competing at the highest levels together.
Some of her accomplishments include:
- 6x Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Qualifier
- Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Fastest Time

Vana's Barrel Clinics
Thank you for an excellent weekend at the clinic in Florida. I learned some new things and for anyone out there that maybe hasn't been at the top of their barrel racing game, I highly recommend going to a Vana clinic. No matter if your riding an open rodeo horse, a colt or anything in between Vana has horsemanship skills that make this way more than a barrel racing clinic. She teaches what I like to call horsemanship "secrets" that have taken a lifetime to learn. Thank you again.
I attended the Clinic in Mason, TN and just wanted to follow up.
I very much enjoyed the clinic, thought it ran very smoothly. I did like the classroom part because you and the horses got a break and you got to know the other participants better, plus I learned alot there also. If not the most important things there.
I did learn from watching the other students. Vana discussed nutrition, and the advice she gave just might have saved the life of an older horse in my pasture.
No suggestions to improve the clinic. I have tried to think of something but nothing. I guess that just means you did a good job. Vana was 100% better than the other clinics I have attended.
"Hi Mrs. Vana, I've never met you, but I've watched you run since I was a little girl. I come from a rodeo/horse racing family and the way you ride reminds me of the way my mom used to ride. I just wanted to say thank you for being an inspiration in my life."
"I need to pass on the best piece of advice I could give any competitor from the beginner to the Top of the Pile.....do not be afraid to ask for advice or help! Prime example is Me. I was having a very hard time trying to explain to my husband what was going wrong in his runs. I called and spoke to Vana and got a different look at it. Talked and relayed what Vana had suggested and this past weekend was great. Things don't get fixed overnight, nor do they stay fixed. It's an ongoing process, so be smart and ask for help or advice. Thanks Vana!"
"You know your business and can explain it! That is why your my choice.
Thank you many times over!"
"I tried what you said to do about my horse loping really fast and all it took was one ride. Rode her like you said, and she was slow and steady."
Proven with her many titles on different horses and seen with the pictures below, Vana has the talent of riding different barrel horse styles.
Let Vana help you to accomplish your own personal goals.
